Our customer, Autotech Engineering, wanted to offer their customers something special to match some of the serpentine kits out there. They also have a large client base in the show car circuit who want a nice looking alternator. We prototyped and 6 window design with 3 ears for different mounting options. This design eventually went to production and is hitting the market soon. 

It all started by taking measurements and drawing the basic design in Fusion 360, CAD software. We cut a template on the cnc router to ensure all bolt patterns lined up. Once we had our template, it was time to have fun with the design. We were inspired by pulley wheels on serpentine kits. The design includes 3 ears for different mounting options. The ears are in the shape of the Autotech “A” for a branding element.
